Ask to update but when I push the button a message is shown "Unable to update"

it would be perfect if I could stream the videos to my Apple-TV!

The is one of the worst apps Ive used and Ive given this app many chances to improve in the last year. Articles are often cut short where the end of the story is nowhere to be seen. Videos mostly dont play, tempting you with that triangle shaped play icon that doesnt do anything when you tap it. Photos are cropped such that often heads are chopped off. Clicking Help in the app takes you to a page not found. All-in-all, this should be a simple app to develop but somehow CBC used Joe from Craigslist and this piece of crap was the result. CBC, this method of making news available to the public is simply not acceptable. Start over.

I had to watch three 30 second ads to open a single video. The app offers very little that cant be found by simply using the website. Not worth the space on your phone.

An absolute must for those who want a quick update of what is happening around their city, province, country or world. I am a world traveler and use it everyday.

Has never functioned well, but recently is worse! Pages will not load until the second try. CBC is Canadas News. The App should work better!

I agree with previous reviews. Decent enough app for Canadian and world news but too many streaming ads with audio that muscle their way into and over your news experience. Extremely annoying. Also the site is refreshed with new info at a very desultory rate, stories hang around for days before being updated.

Ridiculous not to have this absolutely basic feature; I use ctv go app instead just because of this!

Pictures not loading. Kicks you out unexpectedly. Too slow. Come on CBC. I know you can do much better.

Automatic two-stars lost because of lack of closed captioning for the hearing-impaired and deaf. Shame on you CBC. Your main CBC app has closed captioning but not your News app?!?

The older app from year(?) back worked very well but the latest version is a buggy nightmare. Multiple button presses to load stories plus outright crashing every second to third day. Love Cbc. Hate the app :-(

Tired of ads cutting off the bottom of news stories so you cant finish reading.

Opening the app and looking at 3 articles over one minute used 14mb data. Those were written articles with no video. Its now a WiFi only app on my phone.

This app is my favorite news app. This is a must for anyone looking for high quality streaming and up to date news. Good job!

I will echo earlier reviews that the app is often slow and constantly buggy. The app seems unable handle a switch to other apps and back again. When reading an article and follow a pop up alert and then going "back to CBC news" the navigation menu is missing. Youre stuck in the article. No back button. There has been some improvements but often get the feeling the app is very poorly tested. A shame for Canadas "national news"

Can use a widget for quick access in iOS10. Little tweeks here and there.

Terrible app. Same stories appear for days, no updates, and lame stories at that. Dont waste your time for local news on this app.

I like the content and organization of articles, but the ads before every. single. video clip are just obnoxious. One article had eight video clips with varying lengths to under a minute, but you have to sit through at least one 30-second ad before playing each one. Pretty lame, definitely discourages use.
